Mada Center has participated in the online Arab Regional Consultation on UNESCO’s 2019 Recommendation on Open Educational Resources (OER) organized on October 21st by UNESCO. The discussions revolved around best practices and initiatives in the implementation of the UNESCO 2019 Recommendation on OER . Mada Center representative shared insights and Mada initiatives to promote accessible open educational resources.
This Regional consultation, focusing on the Arab Region, is one of several regional preparatory events for the 3rd UNESCO World OER Congress ‘Digital Public Goods: OpenSolutions for Inclusive Access to Knowledge’, to be held on 19 and 20 November 2024 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
